The Latvian city of Ventspils is celebrating 720 years. This is celebrated with a big festival which will be broadcast live on Latvian television across the country”’. ”’Headlining this festival is Robert Wells who, along with his Vocalettes and his Rhapsody Lounge Orchestra, will hold a concert on Saturday 7^th of August.

Skokloster Church, Sunday 8th of August. Extra concert at 20.00. The first one at 17.00 is sold out.

The second part of the summer tour with Sofia Källgren and Wells is starting. Gränna Church is up next on the tour plan, on Saturday 24^th of July. The tour runs until the 14^th of August, with the final concert in Röstånga.

Last year in Dalhalla. These are the 56th – 59th concerts(!) in the Rättvik pit. More than 210,000 people have seen the Rhapsody In Rock only in Dalhalla over the years. Between the 16^th and 20^th of July, Robert and the ensemble will be doing the final four gigs in Dalhalla with Back On Track. New locations are already being discussed for the coming seasons.

Robert Wells is now posted in the Hall of Fame at the airport. Meet Wells and Vocalettes in Arlanda’s main tent on Skeppsbron in Stockholm, Sunday 6^th of June at 14:00.

One of our summer guests has been awarded with the Anita O’Day scholarship. ”Versatility, musicality and irresistible sense personifies LaGaylia Frazier’s vocals. Among various styles of music, she also performs classic jazz melodies in a highly personal and compelling fashion.”

The Board of the Jazz Museum Foundation has decided that the 2010 Anita O’Day Scholarship goes to LaGaylia Frazier. Congratulations from us all at Wells Music.

Robert participates in the Belarusian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, Norway. Along with the vocal group 3+2, Wells accompanies the song, Butterflies. Semi finals #1 on the 25^th of May.

This weekend marked the ending of the church tour in northern Sweden, in Kiruna. Sofia Källgren and Robert have been playing with local choirs and bass player, Lasse Risberg. Follow the updates in the tour list for the summer concerts to come.
