World artist Michael Bolton joins Robert Wells' "Rhapsody In Rock" summer tour 2016!
Now it's finished! World artist and king of soft rock Michael Bolton joins a star-studded "Rhapsody In Rock" on Castle Tour this summer. It will be really celebrated when the champion Robert Wells celebrates 30 years as an artist behind the grand piano and invites to world-class castle concerts!

On stage, Robert Wells will also be joined by Wiktoria, who became a great audience success with the Swedish people when she participated in this year's melody festival with the contribution "Save Me". Sweden's soul queen LaGaylia Frazier on stage with Johan Boding, Maria Wells and The Vocalettes. Backed by the Rhapsody Symphony Orchestra which will offer more musical surprises, it will be very new topped with several 80's hits and world-class entertainment around the country!

– Even when I was in Miami this spring and planned for this year's summer tour, Michael Bolton was a name I thought of early! With this year's Rhapsody 80s theme, Bolton is one of the biggest. After intensive negotiations these days, it finally became clear yesterday that Michael Bolton is with us this summer and I am more than happy to celebrate my 30 years as an artist together with this icon and all the fantastic artists., greets a very happy Robert Wells from London.

It will be celebrated big and royal when Rhapsody In Rock embarks on the biggest summer tour since 2009 with master Robert Wells behind the grand piano. This year, Robert Wells celebrates 30 years as an artist so it gets a little extra of everything. With them they have one 60 strong ensemble and most of the guest artists and there will be a large dose of entertainment of the absolute highest class around some of the country's most beautiful venues and castles during the summer 2016.

Robert Wells is currently in Florida to start the preparations and to be inspired for this summer's big castle tour.

It will have its tour premiere in Varberg, Varberg's fortress on 27 July 2016 and you visit exclusively 5 castles around the country with a final at Gränsö Castle in Västervik.

Efter höstens publiksuccé med utsålda konserthus och arenor släpps nu fjorton nya konserter med Robert Wells 25-årsjubilerande ”Rhapsody In Rock”. Turnén förlängs och spelas våren 2015 från Helsingborg i söder till Luleå i norr!

Robert Wells presenterar ”Rhapsody in Rock” som det en gång började, och det kommer att bjudas på stor dos av de klassiska mästarna samt Boogie och Rock det firas 25års-jubileum med en mer nära och intim turné runt om i landet.

På turnén har Robert Wells med sig symfoniorkestern SSO ”Swedish Symphony Orchestra” under ledning av Ulf Wadenbrandt, rockbandet samt gästartisterna Sofia Källgren, LaGaylia Frazier och Johan Boding. Dessutom nya stjärnskottet 14-åriga pianisten Alice Power. 25års-firandet bygger på där succén ”Rhapsody In Rock” en gång började 1989 med närheten till publiken och ”Old Time Entertainment”. ”Rhapsody in Rock” har sedan 1989 genomfört över 500 konserter tillsammans med drygt 90 olika gästartister och haft nästintill ofattbara 1,9 miljoner besökare. På god väg mot 2-miljoners-strecket med andra ord. Detta på arenor runt om i landet, från Luleå i norr till Ystad i söder, innefattande legendariska konsertplatser som Dalhalla, Ullevi och Råsunda. Great interest in Robert Wells' "Rhapsody in rock" 25th anniversary which this year celebrates with a new tour! Now it is clear that the tour will be expanded with three new locations, Malmö Baltic Hall, Norrköping Dee Geerhallen and Gothenburg The Theater are visited in total 10 places around the country (See tour schedule below). 25-the anniversary will be celebrated with a 60 man stark together. World-class symphony orchestra and accompanists together with guest artists around the country.

Robert Wells will present "Rhapsody in Rock" as it once began, and there will be a large dose of the classic masters as well as Boogie and Rock when this autumn celebrates its 25th anniversary with a closer and more intimate autumn tour around the country.

Robert Wells is touring this spring to pay tribute to his great mentor and colleague - piano legend and entertainer Charlie Norman.

Robert and Charlie made their first joint appearance for 25 years ago and has worked side by side for over ten years with CD releases, tours and TV- appearances.

"A tribute to Charlie" will be a musical evening of the highest class, filled with humor, personal anecdotes and lots of jazz, swing and boogie-woogie. The large arenas where Robert Wells usually plays have been replaced by smaller and more intimate concert halls.

The tour premieres in Mijas, Spain the 17 February 2013. Swedish premiere in Trollhättan on 21 February 2013. The Swedish part of the tour ends at the Scalateatern in Stockholm 12-13 april 2013. The tour ends at Jazzclub Soho in London 21-24 May 2013.

Pianists, composer and entertainer Robert Wells receives a medal for outstanding artistic contributions as an entrepreneur in the cultural sector. The medal is received on it 16 February at the Royal Palace with the King and Queen present. On the same day, he chooses his eleven-year-old student Alice Power from Solna for this year's King of Piano 2011.

King of Piano is Robert Wells 'web-based piano academy where online teaching is mixed with games and members' own video-filmed performances. King of Piano is available in Swedish, English and Chinese.

“I follow many young pianists that I hear through King of Piano and at my concerts. Alice Power is one of the greatest and most potential talents I have met. She has a dynamic game, impressive technology and is already a stage personality, which is at least as important”, says Robert Wells.

Alice receives her award in person from Robert Wells at his own music club Rhapsody Lounge at Engelen in Gamla Stan. For Alice Power, the award comes as no surprise. She was named King of Piano of the Month last year and since then she has performed with Robert Wells on several occasions.. The highlight was in November 2011 when Alice and Robert performed with Rhapsody In Rock and played four-handed at the Royal Albert Hall in London. This concert was recorded by Chinese TV and broadcast in the days.

“Becoming this year's King of Piano feels inspiring, it is very fun to get feedback from such a skilled pianist as Robert Wells”, says Alice Power.

As 2011 King of Piano this year, in addition to a medal, Alice also receives a stage piano and the opportunity to continue playing with Robert on several concert occasions during 2012.

Robert Wells releases his first real solo album 14 år.

The last few years have been filled with big tours with orchestras and artists in
Rhapsody in Rock. What is heard on Close Up Classics is what Robert started
with in young years - music for solo piano by the classical masters.

Robert got 2010 a request from Staffan Scheja to participate in one
tribute concert in connection with Chopin's 200th anniversary. Then the idea was born to
record this record which we now have the pleasure of presenting. This includes works by
bl a Flour, Chopin, Beethoven, Stenhammar, Grieg, Rachmaninov and Debussy.

With the newly started piano school King of Piano and this CD, Robert hopes that he
will inspire new pianists and to create an increased interest in the instrument and
classical music.

Sunday the 14 november kl 16.00 in the First Church , Stockholm,
Robert makes the first solo concert with material from CD:n.
A tour is planned for the spring 2011.

Wells concert in Tromsö on Saturday will be moved to tomorrow Thursday.

After the China trip, Wells' tour in Norway continues as planned with Trondheim on 10/2.
